I do hope you enjoyed your weekend. Happy Monday and have a fabulous week.
Wow! What a weekend! Such a riot of beautiful colours! x
ReplyDeleteThank you! The double rainbow was such a treat. Angus keeps going back to the window looking for it, confused as to why it is no longer there.
DeleteWoh! What a fab weekend had by all! Um... I love Bella's dress! Can it come in my size :) Also that little three tiered stand with party food on it- I must know where it came from!? It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWe bought Bella's dress last autumn from Marks and Spencer for her baptism. She gets confused and calls it her "wedding" dress. She has worn it to about twenty birthday parties and was very excited to wear it on Saturday!
DeleteCake stand is by a company called Babell - we got it from little shop in Chichester but Amazon and John Lewis sell them. The come in all different colours and sizes and best of all stack away really neatly in the cupboard!
So many lovely pictures in your post today. The images of Angus playing brought back great memories of my son playing with similar toys - he would be absorbed for ages, lost in his own imagination. My daughter on the other hand had a wandering mind and couldn't focus on anything for more than a few minutes (mmmm wonder who she takes after!)
ReplyDeleteI love Bella's card to Angus - how precious!
Thanks for the cross stitch advice - yours looks lovely framed.
Thank you. I love watching him play, especially when he lies on the floor to be on eye level with his toys!
Deletelooks like the best sort of weekend, love the hand painted card. x
ReplyDeleteI am going to make sure that card gets put away in the "sentimental things" box. She made is all on her own, bless her.
DeleteI'm admiring lots in your photos - as Hazel said Bella's dress is gorgeous. The chocolate cake (well what more is there to say!) and your cross-stitch sampler is lovely. I'm also desperate to play with the castle - that brings back lovely memories ... I wonder if a 20 year old would like one for his birthday. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Maggie. I have been playing with the playmobil toys a much as the kids! And I would secretly love a dress covered in sequins that flares out when I twirl, just like Bella's...
DeleteI love posts like these. All of life in a few well chosen photographs. And clever Bella, taking her own photo of her own card :D
ReplyDeleteThey are the most fun to put together too I think - they make me celebrate the small but happy moments that make up the stuff of life. That kid is alarmingly good with a camera. But quite clumsy, which brings me out in a cold sweat!
DeleteYour photos are so beautiful and I love Bella's card! And that cake! x
ReplyDeleteAh, thanks. Sadly the cake is now all gone and my jeans are quite a bit tighter. Hmm.
DeleteLovely pics - the cross stitch looks great framed. I think Bella's found her vocation - her picture's brilliant :)
ReplyDeleteI just wish she wanted to use her bouncable v-tech pink camera as much as she likes out DSLR!
DeleteWhat a lovely weekend! Your photos are always so pretty and vibrant, full of life and color!
ReplyDeleteThanks Julia, that is very kind of you! :-)
DeleteLove all the color, the creativity, love your photography too.
ReplyDeleteHi Lori, thank you. My photos are very hit and miss, i assure you!
Deletelooks like a fantastic weekend! i love the castle, treats (of course), and your finished sampler. and what is that apple fabric? i love it!
ReplyDeleteHey Cassie! That apple fabric is an oil cloth tablecloth I bought in John Lewis a few years ago. Amazon stock it - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Apples-Linen-Cotton-Oilcloth-135cm/dp/B002WBZBF4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1337206673&sr=8-1
DeleteWhat a lovely weekendful! Hope Angus had a wonderful birthday - all the evidence suggests it was a super one! So nice to see your exquisite finished cross stitch sampler - it really is beautiful. Hope you feel delighted with it - you should! E x
ReplyDeleteHi there Elizabeth, thank you, it was a lovely weekend. I am so pleased with the cross stitch sampler, it was a joy to complete and the framers made a lovely job of it. I could never have framed it so well myself!
