Spindrift: the spray that is blown from the top of a breaking wave in high winds.
It was wild down at the beach today. We were swaddled in layers and braced ourselves, heads down, as we walked into the howling wind. Then we went back to the beach hut to drink the thermos of hot chocolate and eat some cake.
I still can't quite believe that we live here and that we get to do things like this at the weekend.
