Autumn Morning

What a perfect autumn morning. We woke to pink skies and opened the curtains to bright sun. There was a nip in the air on the walk to school and I found myself reaching for a wool scarf for the first time in ages. Deep blue skies and golden leaves everywhere you look, with the sun reflecting off windows, making me squint and creating sharp shadows. I walked home slowly, ran some errands, did some chores. Opened all the doors and windows, had lunch in the garden just because I could. It might not be warm enough tomorrow. Ah, autumn. I think I love you.

  1. It's absolutely glorious here, too. The sun is really showcasing autumn's colours. Unfortunately, it's also highlighting our streaky windows.

  4. I love those crisp sunny days; we had one here too. I dallied in the park after dropping the children off, then visited the farmers market. Perfect. xx

  8. It's been a gorgeous day here in sunny South Devon, too! Almost a perfect day ... hair appointment in Totnes late morning, then up to Crew Clothing and bought a pullover and ordered two shirts as they didn't have my size in stock (making use of an offer) then over to Torquay, with husband, and lunch in Le Bistrot Pierre overlooking the sea ... ahhh, this weather is wonderful, but rain on the way, I believe, so make the most of it!

  11. It was like a summer day today, my birthday, which is very unusual for this time of year. Absolutely beautiful, wall to wall sunshine. But you're right, there is a little chill in the mornings. Hurray for scarf-wearing weather. It just so happens I have a few to hand... Off to knit some more on my latest one now. CJ xx
