What's the weather like where you are? It's raining here, and has been all day. A dark and gloomy day, the dreariest of autumn afternoons and on a Wednesday too, of all days. But luckily it's the season of fairy lights, blankets and candles, and I am really delighted to be able to offer you a fantastic giveaway today - a set of Cable and Cotton Lights! You know that I have been a fan of these lights for some time now and have written about them before as I really do think they are quite lovely.
Cable and Cotton are kindly offering one 20 light string, and you can choose between one of their Pre-Selected collections, or pick your own. All you have to do is leave me a comment. Just tell me your name and where (roughly) you are from. Humour me here, I would just love to know whereabouts you all are. No need to tell me your choices yet - when the giveaway closes I'll contact the winner and do it that way, so if you are an anonymous commenter, you'll need to leave an email address. Once all the details are sorted out, Cable and Cotton then will send the lights directly to you.
I am really sorry but this giveaway is only open to UK and European readers. I tried my very hardest to make it a worldwide competition, but this limitation is to do with things like plugs and wiring, which are beyond my control.
The giveaway will close at midnight on Wednesday 22 October.
Good luck!
This giveaway has now closed. Thank you.
This giveaway has now closed. Thank you.
I have visited the Cable and Cotton website many times! I just never have a good enough excuse to buy the lights..... What a great give-away! I live in Glasgow, where it is chilly but dry just now. Christina x
ReplyDeleteNormally I never participate in giveaways (just to avoid the sadness of never winning ;-)), but this time, I really want to give it a try, I love these lights ! They are not sold here in Belgium (or at least, I've never seen them in stores...). Well, that also answered your question : I'm from Belgium, from Flanders (the dutch speaking part of Belgium), and I live in a small town in the province of Limburg, namely Hasselt (famous for its speculoos, a sort of gingerbread-spiced-biscuit).
ReplyDeleteOoooh - yes, yes, yes! I'm here in Stone inStaffordshire and it sounds like we have matching weather at the moment - dull and wet. Love the Cable and Cotton lights. Fingers crossed x Jane
ReplyDeleteHi, LOVE reading your blog! and live on the Isle of Wight, and very wet and gloomy here at the moment! and just love these lights. x Fran

ReplyDeleteHelen_ridley1@hotmail.co.uk
It has been very gloomy here too, not a lot of rain, but still gloomy. I live in a small market town on the south west edge of the peak district :) I love those cable and cotton lights! I thought about buying some a while back but couldn't decide on colours, now they're on hold until I have a job again!
ReplyDeleteHey Gillian,
ReplyDeleteI would love to be entered into this giveaway. This morning it was bucketing it down in St Ives. Olly and I had waterproofs on to go to school. By 12, the sun was shining, it was warm and I was walking Honey in flip flops!
Leanne xx
Cable and Cotton lights have been on my (very long) wishlist for ages! I'm from Devon, surrounded by beautiful beaches and countryside.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I've always wanted some of those, they've been on my wish list for a long time. I went into the Brighton shop a couple of months ago and they had so many lovely colours to choose from. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!!
ReplyDeleteWell, saying I live in London is a bit boring, you know that already, so I'll tell you where I've been before coming here.. I was born a little bit inland from Brittany, then moved about 5 times to various places in the northern half of France to then settle somewhere in the Alps when I was 14. I stayed there for a while, spent a year in Germany and a few months near Rome as part of my (language) studies, spent a year studying in Paris, then moved to London, 13 years ago!
It's been a gloomy grey day here too in West Lancashire, I live in a small village about 15 mins from Southport. My fairy lights and candles are already on, which feels so homely and cosy as it's starting to turn a bit stormy out there now.
ReplyDeleteI saw these lights at Janet Bell's studio in Beaumaris and fell in love with them (you could pick your own colour combo), but we were there for a friends birthday present so have had a serious case of the wanties since.
Thanks for the chance to win such a great giveaway.
Amanda

What a coincidence - I was just looking at the Cable and Cotton website yesterday, deliberating over which lights to choose!
