Hello there! It is cold and wet and windy today and I am feeling very sleep deprived. For the last two nights Angus has woken every couple of hours. It's like having a newborn again but without all the newborn cuddles and sore nipples. He has an ear infection and today we got some antibiotics so hopefully they will take effect and we'll all get a better night's sleep tonight.
So it seems especially appropriate that today is about focusing on the positives. Joining in with Jen at little birdie, here are four things that are cheering me up this week.
- Clementines. I love these. My vitamin intake increases dramatically when these come into season.
- Watching the delight on the children's faces on Bonfire Night.
- One of the beautiful sunrises we've been having on these cold, crisp mornings.
- Nursery art given to me by a proud boy.
We love clementines in my house too and the fireworks were fab. Hope the ear improved quickly they are nasty
ReplyDeleteWell, that's something to be positive about, no sore nipples. Poor Angus, Eleanor suffered terribly with ear infections, in fact, she's only just stopped having them, so I know how distressing it is seeing them in pain. Hope the antibiotics kick in soon. Just caught up with your last post and showed my big kids your edible sparklers. They too now want to make them.
ReplyDeleteI really fancy a clementine now and we haven't got any in! :)
ReplyDeletePoor Angus (and mummy) hope the antibiotics kick in and you both get a good night's sleep tonight. x
ReplyDeleteNothing worse than being sleep deprived - hope he's better soon.
ReplyDeleteLove your clementine picture - yum. x
Get well soon Angus! I still remember how painful that is! Love Clementines also!

Poor old Angus and poor old you - do hope you get some sleep tonight. Love the photo of the clementines x
ReplyDeleteHope Angus feels better soon. Xxx
ReplyDeleteOh not you too...Rufus was up coughing all night last night, we're off to the Docs in the morning. Max used to get ear infections, they're awful - hope poor Angus gets better soon - and you get some sleep! Yum to clementines, they're my favourite, and what a gorgeous photo of them. x
ReplyDeleteOh bless - I do hope your little one feels better soon....and you manage to get some sleep.
ReplyDeletetake care,
Nina x
Sorry to hear your little man has been poorly, ear infections are no fun poor thing. But your happies are really nice. I too love clementines, this time of year is great for them. A lovely orange theme to all of your shots too. x
ReplyDeleteOh Gillian, I hope little Angus is feeling better soon and you all get some sleep. I know you have to be tired. I love clementines and eat them all winter long. Angus's artwork is so precious, definitely one to frame. And I love that you are focusing on all the positives during this time. We all have so much to be thankful for.
ReplyDeleteHope Angus is better soon. KP used to suffer terribly with ear aches when she was small so you have my full sympathy on this one. It's not easy coping with the daily grind on a few hours sleep.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
June
Hope Angus feels much better very soon - ear infections are dreadful. Your pics are so happy and glowing - can't fail to bring cheer even to the sleep-deprived. Hope you can catch up tonight. Things are always so much more difficult to cope with on reduced sleep. E x
ReplyDeleteI do hope the budding artist is feeling better, and you too, not getting enough sleep is dire!
ReplyDeleteI love Clementines too :D
Hope your little one is feeling better very soon. And that your sleep ration increases!

ReplyDeleteOh dear, poor Angus. I hope he's feeling better! It's horrible when the wee ones are ill. x
ReplyDeleteHope the medicine is starting to work so you both feel better! Xx
ReplyDeleteA child's artwork... a true blessing. I treasure those the most.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a gorgeous child... I love seeing happy children, it makes life worth living... don't you think?
