Hot day at work. 36°C on the car thermometer. Rush hour traffic. Fish and chips. Cricket. Warm air. No breeze. Paddling. Floating. Swimming. Sun setting. Perfection.

We made it to the beach and it was beautiful. We could've stayed longer but it was a school night and we were sad to leave. We've resolved to go down as often as we can. Thank you, temperamental British weather, for cooperating and making me very happy.

ReplyDeleteWhen my son was growing up we lived in Bexhill and every night when it was hot we went down to the beach after school. There were always lots of kids and parents from school there. Happy days.

We get the same heat here but the nearest beach is 800 km from where I live... :-)
ReplyDeleteThis weekend, I'll be with my girlfriends visiting another friend who lives in a house by a lake, with her own pier... my bikini will be the first thing I pack - I guess I won't need much else!
With this weather, you must be very happy you made the decision to move to the seaside !!
